Assignment #4: Ghost

Today, as in the English Renaissance, there are many beliefs and superstitions about ghost and such other things. At my house and in my family we don’t go by a lot of them though. There are some such as throwing salt over your shoulder if you spill it or holding your breath while going over a bridge or by a cemetary. Another is not putting shoes on top of a table because it causes bad luck which I learned from Apryl and now go by all the time. Those are pretty much it. We don’t get into the superstitions a lot but we did have a ghost in our basement in our old house though. There were two old ladies and they would talk and go up and down the stairs at night.  Spooky huh?

Assignment #2

These videos show you how much of an impact society makes on us. Just by seeing all the advertisements around could make someone seriously ill or have eating dissorders. Society these days makes people belive whatever they want them to belive. They tell them what is “pretty” or “perfect” and even what is “healthy.”

Assignment #3

I thought that the lyre bird was incredible. I think it’s really cool how it can mimic any noise. I mean how many things can do that? This video shows you that civilization is starting to take over and maybe just too much.  As cool as the bird is, it’s really not good for it to be able to mimic a chainsaw. Shows that the bird has heard the chainsaw multiple times and is probably just getting closer to the Lyre Birds habitat.  We all know that can’t be good for the few amazing animals like the Lyre bird.

We used these blogs in class year and they aren’t all that bad. Kind of a different way to do the assignments.
